A person can only see their reflection in still water...

Retreats

Retreats can vary in length from half a day to a whole weekend. They are designed to connect people with scripture and other sacred writings where they can listen to God speaking to them through the written word.

Half-day Retreats
These retreats are usually offered at a congregation's building, a retreat center, or a local park. They usually last about 2-4 hours. Participants are provided with scripture and other devotional writings to use as a focus for meditation and prayer. The time is closed with group discussion and reflection.

One Day Retreats
This retreat is usually offered at a congregations building or a retreat center. Participants are provided with scripture and other devotional writings to use as a focus for meditation and prayer. The time is closed with group discussion and reflection.

Weekend Retreats
Weekend retreats are usually held in a secluded setting like a retreat center, but could also be held at a congregation's facility. Participants are provided with scripture and other devotional writings to use as a focus for meditation and prayer.

One Week Retreats
Ideal for holy seasons like Lent and Advant. Participants are given daily readings and prayer exercises for each day of a week (Sunday-Thursday). Readings may be from scripture or other spiritual writings. They meet with a director each evening to discuss what God is doing in their hearts as they pray with the readings.
